Rockets beat Stars, keep pace in West

—STRATHROY—

Keeping up with the top of the Western conference is far from easy, but the Rockets remain right in the mix with the best of the West approaching the seasons halfway point.

A 5-2 win over the St. Thomas Stars moved the Rockets to 29 points on the season, 2 games quicker than they reached that mark last season. The Rockets sit just 2 points behind both London and Lasalle, the latter of the two will be in Strathroy on Saturday for a big matchup.

Eight different Rockets collected a point Saturday night, while Colin Androlewicz made 15 saves on just 17 shots against for the win in net! Mason Landry scored a pair of goals, while Nigel Piercy collected his first goal of the season. Kyler Morgan and Matthew Souliere also found the back of the net, while Will Hull collected 3 assists in the win.

The Lasalle Vipers come to town on Saturday night, make sure you come on down to support the boys and catch what should be an exciting matchup between two of the top teams in the West!
