Strathroy Rockets Update (Mid-December)

The Strathroy Rockets are off to a strong start this December, with a record of 3-1-0 through their first four games. The team’s determination and grit have been evident on the ice, showcasing their ability to compete with some of the league’s toughest opponents.

December Results So Far:

  • December 1st: The month began with a statement win, as the Rockets defeated the Komoka Kings 7-3 in a high-scoring affair.
  • December 6th: In a thrilling overtime showdown, the Rockets edged out the Caledon Bombers 5-4.
  • December 7th: The momentum continued with another tight contest, this time a 5-4 victory over the Caledonia Corvairs.
  • December 11th: The Rockets faced a tough test against the London Nationals, falling 4-1 in a hard-fought game.

Upcoming Schedule

Tonight, December 14th, the Rockets host the St. Thomas Stars in one of the most anticipated events of the season: the Teddy Bear Toss Game. Fans are encouraged to bring stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after the Rockets’ first goal, with all donations going to Strathroy Police Cram-a-Cruiser!

Following tonight’s game, the Rockets will look to finish the month strong with three more matchups before heading into their Christmas break:

  • Tuesday, December 17th: Vs. London Nationals @ HOME (7:30pm Puck Drop)
  • Friday, December 20th: @ St. Thomas Stars (7:00 PM)
  • Saturday, December 21st: Vs. Sarnia Legionnaires @ HOME (7:30pm Puck Drop)

The team will then enjoy a well-deserved break before returning to action on January 4th, when they host the St. Marys Lincolns at the WMMC to kick off the New Year.
