Strathroy, ON — July 13, 2024 — The Strathroy Rockets Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of a handful of talented players ahead of the upcoming season, further bolstering their roster for a competitive campaign.
Hayden Duncan Returns to Rockets:
A familiar face returns as Hayden Duncan re-signs with the Rockets, the Ottawa 67s prospect brings his seasoned skills and leadership back to the team. Duncan, known for his goalkeeping and dedication to the game, is anticipated to make a significant impact on and off the ice.
New Additions to the Roster:
Joining Duncan are three promising additions who are set to make their mark in Strathroy:
- Ben Gustafson: A Goaltender who had a stint with the Rockets last year before being sent down to Junior “C”. Ben put up stellar numbers while gaining experience to jump back up to the Rockets on a full-time basis.
- Gavin Puhl: Known for his size and playmaking abilities, Puhl joins the Rockets as a forward ready to contribute to the team’s offensive strategy and scoring opportunities as he embarks on his rookie season. Gavin is also a Kingston Frontenac, OHL Draft pick.
- Nick Savoie: A veteran defenceman with a proven track record of offensive production, Savoie adds depth and reliability to the Rockets’ blue-line, while being a staple in the room.
