Rockets win 7-3 to end losing streak

STRATHROY —

A season long 6 game losing streak finally came to an end Saturday night, as the Rockets used a 4 goal 3rd period to beat Conference leading London 7-3.

It was a chippy, penalty-filled affair Saturday at the WMMC. Strathroy got on the board first with Brennan Faulkner stealing a puck and finding the back of the net just 33 seconds in, The Rockets did not trail the Nats at any point in the game.

Strathroy Powerplay struggled in the early going, but back-to-back goals with the man advantage proved to be the difference in the third, as the Rockets pulled away, adding a pair of empty net goals to seal the victory.

The win gave Strathroy their 32nd point of the season in their 30th game, which is the number of points they finish last season with.

The next game for Strathroy is on Friday, as they travel to St. Thomas to take on the stars.
