Rockets use 3 first period goals to beat Kings on Tuesday

STRATHROY –

The Rockets used three goals in the span of 1:03 late in the 1st period, adding a PowerPlay goal early in the third to beat the Komoka Kings 4-1 on Tuesday night at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre. The win snapped a 5 game losing streak, and moved them into a tie with 7th place St. Thomas.

Alex Laszlo and Kaden Hoggarth each scored once, and Carson Perry added two of his own in a much needed win for the Rockets last night.

The Kings lone goal came short handed in the third period as Colin Holmes got Komoka on the board with 12:34 remaining in the game. That would be as close as they would get.

Rockets goalie Matthew Brazaeu made 29 saves on 30 shots in the win, his 4th of the season.

Strathroy is back in action for two big games this weekend, starting Friday night in St. Thomas against the Stars. Saturday the Rockets will host Sarnia at the WMMC. Strathroy is tied with St. Thomas for 7th, and 4 points up on Sarnia with just 14 games to go in the regular season.

Both games this weekend can be streamed on HockeyTV, or you can listen live to Rockets radio on our YouTube page.
