The Strathroy Rockets would have to settle with just a pair of points over the weekend, finishing off the month of January with a 2-5-1 record.
With playoff hockey now less than a month away, a big home win over the 3rd place Lincolns was followed up by a frustrating 3-0 loss Sunday night in Chatham. Strathroy now sits tied in points with the Maroons, and will begin the February playoff push Thursday in Sarnia.
Caden Faulkner found the back of the net 3 times Saturday, while D-men Charlie Barnes, Willem Posthumus, and Reid Lovecky would add goals as well in a 6-4 win Saturday. Ethan Facchina had 5 assist, while Dylan Richter had 3 of his own. Dylan Grover made 38 saves in net.
