STRATHROY–
The Strathroy Rockets announced Thursday their 2023-2024 Leadership Group. Wearing the ‘C’ for the upcoming season will be Damian Pancino. Damian will be entering his 3rd year of Jr. B hockey this season, and his second year in Strathroy. The London, ON native recorded 34 points in 48 games for the Rockets last season. Joining him will be assistant captains Nigel Piercy (Mount Brydges, ON), Ethan Facchina (Parkhill, ON), and Matthew Balloch (London, ON). Piercy will be entering his third season in Strathroy, having played in 54 games over the last 2 seasons. Facchina is entering his second year in Strathroy, his 45 points last season was 4th best on the club. Matthew Balloch is also entering his 3rd season in the league. He spent time in Komoka and Sarnia before arriving in Strathroy early last season.
Strathroy begins the season Sunday night in Chatham against the Maroons. Puck drop is 7:00pm, the game can be watched on FLOhockey.tv, our you can listen live for free on the Rockets Audio Network.
