Gregg Kaminski Joins Strathroy Rockets as AGM-At Large & Director of U.S. Scouting

The Strathroy Rockets are proud to announce the addition of Gregg Kaminski to the club’s staff as Assistant General Manager – At Large and Director of U.S. Scouting.

Gregg brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Rockets organization, most recently serving as a long-time scout in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the 2024 NAHL Robertson Cup Champion Lone Star Brahmas. His proven track record of identifying top-tier talent and his deep ties within the American hockey landscape make him a valuable asset as the Rockets expand their reach beyond Canadian borders.

Kaminski officially joined the Rockets scouting staff during the 2023-24 season and quickly made an impact — assembling an impressive list of talented U.S. prospects that caught the attention of the club’s leadership. This new role is a natural progression and reflects both his success and the Rockets’ strategic commitment to growth.

In his newly created role, Gregg will be responsible for building, operating, and overseeing the Rockets’ U.S. Scouting Division. He will also lead the development of United States-based prospect camps, and work closely with organizational leadership to secure larger-scale sponsorships, particularly in the digital and social media space.

“This is a major step forward for our organization,” said General Manager Andrew Ferlatte. “Gregg’s passion for the game, attention to detail, and drive to help grow our program aligns perfectly with our long-term goals. His addition to our staff marks a turning point in how we approach recruiting, branding, and business operations across borders.”

Day-to-day, Kaminski will work directly with Ferlatte, focusing on the expansion of the Rockets’ presence in the American market and utilizing his wide network of NAHL contacts to ensure the club’s future is built on a strong foundation of elite-level scouting and resource development.

“This opportunity with the Rockets is one I’m incredibly excited about,” Kaminski said. “From day one, I felt welcomed by the organization, and I’m committed to helping grow the program’s profile and pipeline of talent across the U.S. The groundwork has already started, and I can’t wait to see what we build in the seasons ahead.”

His short-term goal is to strengthen the franchise’s reach in the U.S., while his long-term vision is to provide the resources and structure that will contribute to a championship-caliber team on and off the ice.

Kaminski began working in this capacity in late March, and the initiative is already underway. The Rockets’ upcoming Identification Camp takes place April 25–27 at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre, and fans can expect even more exciting news as the team prepares to announce its new Head Coach next weekend.
