STRATHROY —
For the fifth time in seven games to begin the season, the Rockets would find themselves needing extra time to decide the game. But in front of a crowd of 580 for the Home Opener, it was Caden Faulkner finding the back of the net just 2:41 into OT, sending the fans home happy.
The goal was Faulkners 2nd of the game, and his third point, as the Rockets improve to 3-1-1-1 to begin the new season!
Maddox Nazwaski got the start in goal for Strathroy, his first of the season. He made 22 saves on 25 shots on route to the win. Charley Barnes and Ethan Facchina also had goals in the win, while Brennan Faulkner, Nigel Piercy, Damian Pancino and Cole Smith would add assists.
Strathroy is back in action Wednesday as they visit the London Nationals at the Western Fair. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
